Spring Fling Treats!!

Well, it's official, May is now the Second Busiest Month of the year...at least in our house.  Of course, December is the first busiest, not only because of celebrating the birth of Jesus, but also because of all the other births we celebrate: TJ, Trip, Hattie (niece), Nolan (nephew) and Parker (friend)...just to name a few!  So now May, the month our other child  (aka Mady) has a birthday, has gotten even busier with all the end of school hullabaloo!   It was busy before, when both kids were in preschool, but now that Trip is in "big" school, it has gotten out of control!  This month we've had multiple "fun" days at both schools: Preschool Spring Program, Field Day, Hawian Shirt Day, Water Day,  Movie Treats with the teacher, Teacher Appreciation Week, Last Day of Preschool Party, Spring Fling carnival and still to come: Kindergarten Party for 2 days in a row!  And, those are just the special school days.  This list doesn't include the baseball activities, other birthday parties, teacher gifts and class donations...on and on and on!  The craziest part of it all is how it has all become a chance to "Keep up with the Jones'."  Who has the best teacher gift?  Who volunteers the most at school?  It is completely OUT OF CONTROL!   While I'd like to sit here and tell you that I don't let myself get caught up in it, I struggle too.  It is definitely a lesson in taking each day one at a time, sometimes each minute one at a time.  But, in all that craziness, we've had lots of fun and made lots of memories!  Above are some pictures showcasing all the fun that has been had!  And now, it's time to start celebrating Ms. Mady Moo turning 4!!    I know I've said this before, but I am really looking forward to this Summer and not being on as much of a schedule and not having such high expectations for each day!   Happy May to you all!!
