Number 10: Golf Carts in Peachtree City! What a great way to get around town. I don't know why every city is not created to be a golf cart community. It is such a fun way to get from point A to point B and it saves gas and money. Plus, something about this golf cart community that makes it such a family friendly place. We call it the "Bubble." And, even though we make fun of how cheesy life here can be, it is such a great place to raise a family. I just love that Trip and Mady do not know a life without golf carts!
Number 8: My family-parents, in-laws, etc...I have a great family! From the moment I came into this world, I have been surrounded by an amazing family. And, as my family has grown through my marriage and other marriages, it has just gotten that much more amazing. I know we all talk about our dysfunctional families and I am not saying mine is perfect, but it is definitely functional, because it functions on the most important thing, unconditional love for one another.
Number 7: My friends, even though they keep moving away. I have the most amazing friends in the world! And, they are all over the world! I do wish they could all stay here, right close to me, so I could find them at a moment's notice whenever I needed them. But, even though some are separated by a great distance, I still know they are always close to my heart and praying for me and thinking of me and my friends forever!
Number 6: My ever-changing job with Young Life. I love that without me even looking for one, God provided me with the most perfect job I could ever ask for. I get to work from home, when it works for me, for a ministry I have such a passion for, that has blessed my own life in so many ways, and continues to bless the life of my family as well! The people I work for, although they have been in transition this year, are such wonderful friends and an amazing support system for me. I couldn't have found anything better if I had been looking!
Number 5: Having TJ working from home since June. What a blessing this has been in so many ways! It has been so great to share breakfast with TJ every morning, to have someone else to share in the duties of getting kids ready and off to school each morning, to have him home in the afternoons to play outside after school and help out with homework, the list goes on and on. I know it's been a slow few months for him as he has worked to get worked to get his business of and running, but I am so thankful to have had these months with him at home more.
Number 4: Madeline Grace Kuehn, my show stopping, self-confident, hilarious mini-me. Mady keeps me on my toes with her never-ending antics, but also keeps me wrapped around her little finger with her precious smiles and laughs. She knows what she wants and she will find a way to get it and you will consider yourself lucky if you get to be a part of that plan. I pray she always knows that she is perfectly and wonderfully made in every possible way!
Number 3: December 12, 2005, the day I became "Mommy." And, the day that forever changed my life for the better, when Thomas John, Kuehn, III (aka Trip) was born! He turned my world upside down and I pray it never goes back up right again! His smile brightens my day each morning and I hope he never stops covering me up with his precious hugs and kisses. It is such a joy and privilege to be his mother.
Number 2: TJ, my husband of almost 10 years and friend for the past 13 years! I will forever be thankful that God gave me TJ. He is the most amazing father, husband and friend! My life is eternally more full and joyful because he is in it!
Number 1: That God has chosen us to adopt a child from Ethiopia. Most days, I feel completely unequipped and unworthy of such a calling. And, then I realize that is exactly why God has called us. Because we can't do this on our own. We can only do it with his unfailing power, and so the glory goes to God, not to me! Glory to our Lord and Savior!
