Ok, so I would say that I was a complete slacker for having not posted anything in the last 2 months, but that is really not true. Sure, I have slacked off on my blogging updates, but I have not been slacking off in life. It's honestly been a nice slow progression back into our normal routines and we only had a few full weeks of school before we had our Winter Break. And, I am pretty sure for at least one day in each of those few weeks, one of us was home sick, either with a stomach bug or some other kind of bug. But now, other than some lingering runny noses, we all seem to be back in working order. And, I am pretty sure that a big part of our return to health had to do with our Magical Winter Break week! This time during break we had the best of both worlds. We got to take in the insane crowds, but total magic of Walt Disney World for three crazy, fun-filled days. And, then, just as we were getting too tired to enjoy all that magic much longer, we drove down to Bonita Springs, Florida to be with TJ's family for some real R and R! I don't care how old you are, Disney really is magical and it is such a treat to experience it through the eyes of your children. And, time with family is just as magical and such a treasure. Some highlights from our time at Disney were: Mady riding Space Mountain for the first time, Trip riding the Star Wars ride (Star Tours) twice at Hollywood Studios, dinner at Chef Mickey with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy and running into lots of friends from Peachtree City! Highlights from our time at Pitty and Grumpa's were: resting, swimming, biking, playing with cousins and resting some more! If only the kids would've slept past 6:30 a.m. each day, we could've gotten in even more resting. I've included some pictures to show some of the highlights.

Now, the true magic comes in returning home from such a great trip and returning to school and all of our other routines. Trip is starting baseball this week and TJ is his coach. Trip just loves that his daddy is the coach of his team. And, Mady is already counting down the classes left before her first ballet recital! As a parent, I can find the magic in each day if I just let myself see the world through their eyes. Each day is truly magical, a gift from God, that we get to enjoy another day here as part of this wonderful family he created for us. And, even more magical: neither Trip nor Mady came downstairs tonight after we put them to bed...actually, that's not magic, that is a MIRACLE!
