Mady's brag sheet:
Mady has learned to ride her bike without training wheels! She is beyond excited about her accomplishment and wants us to go outside to ride bikes in rain or shine. I must admit that I do not enjoy watching her ride without training wheels though. Because even though she stays on (most of the time), she is the wobbliest bike rider I have ever seen. And, I have about 20 mini-strokes each time I go out with her as I watch and think she is falling. This is Mady's last week of preschool, which I am taking harder than anyone else around here, but that is no surprise to anyone. The best part about it being the end of school for her though is all the fun things she has gotten to do the last few weeks: a field trip to a play, a field trip to the local pizza place, transportation day, water day and best of all...her Spring Program. Look how beautiful and grown up she looks before her program! I mean really, could she get any cuter?! Finally, Ms. Mady Moo is preparing for her first ballet recital! Last week she got to try on her costume and she was so excited to come home and put it on and dance around for all of us! I am pretty sure we have the next Brittany Spears on our hands (hopefully Mady's career will be less insane!)

Trip's brag sheet:
Trip has two more weeks of first grade left and then I will officially have a second-grader in my home! WHAT?! This past week, he lost another tooth, so his mouth is CRAZY looking. In school, Trip's teacher set a goal for her kids to read 100 books at home during the school year. Trip met that goal a few weeks ago and is now well past 100. In fact this week, he read 5 chapter books in one week! It brings me such joy to watch him walk around the house reading his books. If you had asked me even just a few months ago if I EVER thought this would happen, you would've gotten a dramatic NO WAY! Thank goodness, I am not the authority on his learning abilities! We are SO proud! And....not only is he reading non-stop, his comprehension level is through the roof. His teacher told us that he is reading at a 98% comprehension level and she has never had a student with such a high rate. Way to go! Trip is also becoming a really good baseball player. With TJ as his coach this year, his batting abilities and even his skills on the field are improving daily. Below is a precious father/coach-son moment.

TJ's brag sheet:
So, TJ would probably not like it if he knew I was also bragging about him, but it is well deserved, so TOO BAD! TJ just accepted a position as Brand Manager at a company called DCBI! It is the perfect job for him because he will get to use his natural creative abilities. I am super sad that he won't be home with us every day, but I know he is going to love this new job! And, his company, SketchCrowd will begin running in a few papers in the next couple weeks, so that is a huge accomplishment for him! I am so proud of his hard work and determination!
Alright. That's enough bragging for now. I must say, on this Mother's Day 2013, I am overwhelmingly humbled to be the mother of these two amazing children! And, to be the wife of such a wonderful man! They make me want to be a better person daily! They inspire me, encourage me, challenge me and love me and I will be forever grateful to be a part of their lives!
