A decade in the making...
Last weekend, TJ and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary! We had a wonderful time, spending the weekend in Atlanta and traveling back down memory lane. The funniest part was having lunch at the spot where TJ proposed. This used to be a sweet, little, romantic Thai restaurant, but has now turned into a sports bar that serves delicious Mexican food. I guess we are ok trading in one favorite cuisine for another. For one of the gifts I gave TJ, I made a photo book with pictures from the last ten years of our life together. Putting that book together over the last few weeks, has really given me a chance to reflect on the life we've created over the last 10 years! It has been full of ups and downs, twists and turns, but most importantly, we have done it all together, first the two of us, now the four of us, and sometime in the future, the five of us! And, in this world we live in today, that is saying a lot. In a world where most of us live by the motto "every man for himself," or "what's in it for me," it's a comfort knowing that I am married to someone who lives to do life with me and with our children, as a team. One of the things that came up often throughout of home study for our adoption was the topic of how TJ and I do life together. And, we just kept coming back to what a great team we make. What a great team God put together when he combined me and TJ and then added Trip and Mady! It's been a decade in the making and I can't wait to see what the next decade brings. Below is a link so you can see the book I made TJ. It's a little cheesy, but the pictures are great!
