TIME TO BRAG ON TRIP!
I know I say this all the time, but time really does fly! How is it possible that this sweet, precious baby boy is now 8?! It seems like just yesterday that he and I were hanging out at home, just the two of us, playing cars or puzzles or reading books...

| I think this is from his first birthday. |
And, now HE is the one reading all the time! This kid loves books and it makes me smile to see him with his nose in a book. I especially love when Mady can convince him to stop playing video games or Legos and come read to her! I think those are probably his top three favorite ways to spend his time: playing video games, playing legos and reading! He is all boy! But, he is also just so sweet and such a good friend. For his birthday this year, Trip wanted to play laser tag. The number of party attendants is limited to 8, to make the teams even, etc...and Trip had the hardest time just picking 8 friends to invite. Below are some pictures from the day:
Then, on his "real" birthday, we went to see Santa and eat at Chick-fil-a! It just doesn't get much better than that. I think Trip's favorite gift was Skylanders, a video game for the Wii. Now, it's all he talks about. I'm starting to regret the purchase...just a little bit. :-)
I am so proud to be the momma of this amazing boy! His empathy and kindness amaze me. And what is even more amazing is how one minute, he is the sweetest kid ever, hugging me and telling me what a great mom I am and then, the next minute, he is chasing his sister around the house, screaming at the top of his lungs, with a light saber in hand! WHAT?! The thing I love the most about Trip is how hard he tries at everything he does. Whether it's at school, at sports, at boy scouts, or just at being a friend or brother, Trip tries his hardest. He wants to do it well and he desires to be the best he can be! His faith in Jesus is unbelievable. I am blown away by his understanding of the WORD and how it applies to his life. And, he is not afraid to tell other people about how great Jesus is! He is so excited to be a big brother again and I just know Eli will be blessed by Trip! We knew 8 years ago, that God had given us a wonderful gift when He gave us Trip. And, what a gift each day has been with him the last 8 years (even the more difficult days). I am truly blessed to be called "Trip's mom!" I love you BUG!
