That's right! It's a New Year and this is a New Blog! Well...it's not really a new blog, but I am giving this blog new life! One of my New Year's goals (I refuse to call them resolutions) is to blog at least once a month. I started this blog not only as a way to share with our loved ones the goings on of our family, but also to have something for my kids to look back on and remember their childhood. It's so cliché, but it really does go so fast. In fact, I can't believe how little I've blogged the last two years. Hmmm...what changed that might have kept me from blogging regularly...that's right...we call him ELI! I will now refer to the past two years as the "Years without a Blog." Ha! As of all of you reading this blog know (because I'm not one to keep things in), the last 2 years have brought on many challenges, but also many joys, all of which combined to keep me busy and keep me away from this blog. But now, all 3 kids are in school all day, so I have no excuses. I should be able to find time to write at least one blog a month...hopefully more. And, I need all of you that read this to hold me to it. If you find yourself thinking, "hmmm...I wonder what's up with those crazy Kuehns, Lauren hasn't written anything lately." then shoot me an email or send me a text, so that I can achieve my goal! In order to catch the blog world up, here's an bulleted list (I LOVE lists) of what we were up to in 2015:
- Celebrated Eli's 1 year Gotcha Day with a party and his baptism
- Celebrated Mady turning 7, Trip turning 10 and Eli turning 5
- Also celebrated TJ turning the big 4-0 and me turning 25...AGAIN
- Mady and Trip both tested into the Enrichment/Gifted program at school
- Took a super fun family vacation to Hawaii
- Took an equally super fun parent-only vacation to the Dominican Republic
- Started another year of school with Trip in 4th grade, Mady in 2nd and Eli in pre-K, all at Peachtree City Elementary School
- Trip went to his first Packer game at Lambeau field!
- Mady learned to roller skate like a pro!
- Eli continues to blow us away with his ability to pick up not just the English language, but also great classic songs like "Yellow Submarine."
