Trip and Mady love celebrating Valentine's Day! In fact, Mady woke up this morning and asked me if I had presents for her today too. :-) Yesterday, when the kids came downstairs, they found a bag of goodies waiting for them from TJ and I. Trip was up at 7 am! I would've been annoyed, except that as soon as he came down the stairs he said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Mommy!" Sweet Boy! Once Mady woke up, Trip had already gone through his bag and hers and told her everything she had! She didn't even have to open the bag. Trip went to school and Mady and I ran a few errands and then went back to school to join him for his Valentine's Day party. The kids in his class were so excited for their party and all the sugar!! After the party, we came home for lunch and then I had to take the kids out to play before their naps. The weather was just so beautiful and I wanted to them to enjoy it for a bit! After naps, we went back outside again and this time Daddy was home to play with. Sweet TJ came home early with a huge bouquet of flowers for me, a bottle of wine, and boxes of chocolates for both me and the kids! I think my favorite part of it all was having him home early! I tried to be a little creative with the kids' dinner and I made them heart shaped mini-pizzas. They were not as impressed as I had hoped they would be, but they ate them anyway because they were really excited about the treats! TJ made heart shaped sugar cookies the night before and we had icing and sprinkles to decorate with. I'm not sure that much of the decorations actually made it on the cookies, but it definitely all made it into their mouths! Then, once the kids went to bed, TJ and I celebrated with dinner from our favorite Thai restaurant and a chick flick of my choice. It was a perfect, family Valentine's Day!
