Out to Eat

Yesterday, we bravely ventured out to eat with the two kids. This is not something we've done much since Mady was born, because it's usually not worth the effort. Meaning, we don't typically get to finish our meal before one of the kids acts up. But, last night we went to eat at Taco Mac down the street and both kids did great. It was wonderful! TJ and I actually got to talk to each other. We got cheese dip to share which is always a winner for Trip and ordered mac and cheese for him which they brought out first (I love when they do that), so he was totally happy eating his food and talking to himself and his imaginary friends. And, Mady just chewed on her taggie doll and ate the rice cereal I brought for her. I really hope we can start to get out more and do these kind of things again. I miss it.

Trip quote of the week: TJ was giving Trip a bath the other night and Trip said something TJ didn't understand, so TJ asked "What did you just say?" And, Trip said, "I'm not talking to you, Daddy." And TJ asked if he was talking to his puppies that he plays with in the tub and Trip replied, "No, I'm talking to myself. Hello Trip. (voice one) Hi Trip. (voice two replied back)"
