TJ and Trip started the weekend out with a Braves game on Thursday night. Trip thought it was pretty special that he and Daddy were going to see a game at night, in the dark, on a school night! And, he got to take his friend Asher and his dad, Mr. Andy. The boys really enjoyed their "man time." Trip conked out in the car on the way home, wearing his new baseball cap. TJ and I had to take a picture, because it was just too cute. Trip told me the next day that the best part about going to a baseball game is that you get to eat peanuts and throw the shells on the ground because it's someone's job to come clean them up after the game! How great! He also loved the fireworks that go off after home runs and sharing a footlong hot dog with Daddy. He said he ate from one end, and Daddy ate from the other. I wonder who ate more...
Today, my parents came down to hang out. We went to Uncle Bob's Pumpkin Patch. We've taken Trip every October, since he was born, so this was his fourth time and Mady's second. It was crazy to think last year she was just hanging out in the sling, and this year she was wandering around. Trip and Mady both enjoyed seeing all the animals, ducks, geese, sheep, chickens, pigs, turkeys, etc... And, we all had fun on the hay ride. Before the ride began, the driver told us to keep an eye out for big foot and he handed out feathers to tickle his feet, and a rope to tie him up with. This terrified Trip, he got so scared, he wanted to get off. Somehow, we convinced him that it was just a story, so he stayed on and had a good ride. It was fun to get to share this with my parents this year. I pray for many more years of sharing this tradition with Grandad and Kaki.
