Wise Words and a Cute Girl

There is nothing in this blog entry about Mady, except this precious picture. I mean, seriously, how cute does she look in her new fall clothes? I think she knows it too.

Trip has had 2 really great quotes the last few days. I'm so thankful for the laughter he brings. Okay, so the first one happened last Sunday. Our church was hosting a fellowship brunch. This month is pastor appreciation month, so some of the elders had put together this cheesy song and dance number as a way to show their appreciation. The eldest of the elders brought a wand as a sort of prop to direct the singing. When Trip saw the wand, he looked at me, somewhat afraid, and asked, "Is he going to make us all disappear?" Apparently, he knows what magicians do with those wands and he was concerned we were all part of a magic trick. It took TJ and I both a minute to realize why he was asking that, but once it made sense, we couldn't stop laughing.

Then, tonight, TJ was putting Trip to bed. Trip decided to give Daddy a lesson in bed anatomy. So, he was explaining to TJ which part of the bed was called the "head" of the bed and which part was called the "foot" of the bed. And, then, he pointed to the mattress and asked, "Can we call this the tummy?" Perfect. Why hasn't anyone ever thought of that before? It makes perfect sense to me.
