We got another taste of Spring this weekend and I am hungry for more! I really hope this coming week lives up to its weather reports. Our weekend started off with a cheap date night for TJ and I. The preschool the kids go to had a Parents Night Out on Friday. For a total of $15 both of our children were fed and entertained for 3 hours! It was great. We got to go eat at one of our favorite Thai restaurants and even get some ice cream after...all child-free! Trip and Mady had a blast too. They got pizza, watched a movie, made crafts and ended the night with cookies. Who could ask for a better Friday night. Saturday started off a little chilly for Trip's t-ball game. But, Kaki and Grandad braved the cold weather and came down to cheer on the Renegades! Otherwise known as the "good-bad guys", according to Trip. It was a humorous game as usual, but Trip did really well hitting and fielding this time too. He paid much more attention than usual to where the balls were being hit. He would make a great pitcher/center-fielder. One inning he was placed in what would be a pitcher position and he chased every ball that was hit, no matter how far in the outfield it went. I think he was showing off for his grandparents. TJ and I had a wedding to go to that night, so my parents stayed and watched the kids for us. They played outside for almost 2 hours! I don't know who was more worn out, the kids or the grandparents. Either way, they all had a fun time together. That set of grandparents left Sunday morning, making way for TJ's mom, Pitty, to come in Sunday night. Now we get to play with her all week and then the Easter bunny will be here!
