Brothers and Sisters

I can tell that Trip really does love Mady, even though I know sometimes he wishes it could go back the way it was when it was just him as the center of our attention. But, when he is being sweet with her and playing gently with her, he will stick his thumb in his mouth and pat her little head. It is really very sweet and endearing. It makes those moments when he bops her not so gently on the head seem less cruel. And, I know Mady adores him because she saves her biggest smiles for him. It doesn't matter what crazy, weird thing he is doing, she will give him a great big smile. And, she watches him all the time. If she is fussy, I just have to sit her in front of him and she will be greatly entertained.

Today has been a pretty good day with both of them, which has been rare lately, so I thank God for today. Trip and I played for a long time together while Mady napped this morning. He wanted to lay under her play mat and "read" me stories, which was actually more like making up stories. It was just so cute. And, when she got up he played with her while she was in her excersaucer. Showing her how to move all the fun things on it. She got a big kick out of it. It's days like this that I just want to freeze time.
