I can't beleive it's almost Christmas. It's been really fun this year because Trip finally understands what's going on. We took he and Mady out the other night to see all the Christmas lights in the neighborhood. His favorite is this huge ferris wheel! Yesterday, I took Trip to pick out his present for Mady. Big mistake...I guess he's not quite old enough to understand what that means, but I hope Mady likes her new ball, if she actually gets to play with it.
Today, Trip and I went to see Santa. We left Mady at home with Daddy because she was tired and it's really cold and windy out today. I was a little nervous that Trip would be afraid and wouldn't want to see Santa. But, he did great! He told me the whole time we waited that he didn't want to sit with Santa, but when it was his turn, he walked right up and sat in his lap. He told Santa that he wanted racecars for Christmas. Hope he likes trains! :-) Then, after he got off Santa's lap, he walked over to me and asked when Santa was going to give him his presents. I had to explain that Santa brings the presents on Christmas eve while we are sleeping. Then, he even wanted to ride the horse drawn carriages they had driving around the shopping center parking lot. It went much better than I expected.
