That's right, both Mady and Trip have an ear/eye infection! What fun! Mady went to the doctor yesterday because her eye was a little goopy and it turned out that she had an ear infection. I never would've guessed that because she has had no fever and has been sleeping great. Then, this morning, Trip woke up and said that his eyes wouldn't open. Sure enough, they were gooped shut. Gross! So, I took him in today and he has the same infection. Woo Hoo! Two Whammies! Now our goal is to keep TJ and I from getting the same thing. I'll probably right another entry tomorrow that says I woke up with goopy eyes.
Trip quote of the week: Last night, in my attempt to prevent Mady's germs from spreading, I told Trip to blow Mady a kiss instead of kissing her sweet face. After he did, he asked if he could have his kiss back and I laughed and said once you give a kiss you can't have it back. Thinking nothing more of it, I left and went to put Mady to sleep. Apparently, Trip was pretty upset about wanting his kiss back and he wanted to come find me and tell me again. TJ kissed him on the cheek a few times and said, "Here, now you have some extra kisses." Then, TJ asked Trip to kiss him back and Trip said no. When TJ asked why, Trip said" Because I don't want to run out of kisses." So sweet!
