There is no other way to describe the last two weeks, than that. Our children have been possessed by some other life form that has also taken over our entire life and thrown us into a crazy loop. It all started with the time change a couple weeks ago, and is still not over yet! Whether it's been cranky kids, sick kids, wide-awake when they should be sleeping kids, impossible to please kids, you name it, we've had it the last two weeks. And, then along with these crazy kids, our schedules have been on Plan B mode too. Nothing is going as it is planned and everything is being changed to Plan B or even C sometimes. But, through it all, we've still managed to mostly hold onto our sanity and still have some fun and enjoy the beautiful Southern Spring weather. So, it only made sense that last night, I took the kids to travel back in time, to a slower time, the times when people walked side-by-side with Jesus! Poor TJ was supposed to join us on our adventure, but he had an adventure of his own. On his way home, his tire exploded on the Interstate...and, of course, he had left his cell phone at home! Figures! Someone was nice enough to pull over and let him use their cell to call AAA, who put on the spare tire, after TJ broke his jack. TJ made it home safely and got 4 new tires this morning! In the meantime, Trip and Mady and I went for the third year in a row to The Marketplace. It's a church campus transformed to the days of Jesus. The kids love it and each year Trip tries more and more things! This year, he and Mady boarded a camel and rode it all by themselves (no tears)! I was shocked! Trip also wanted to try the rock climbing wall, but he was not big enough. He is already looking forward to doing it next year. His favorite part is slinging ping pong balls at a man dressed as Goliath. (yes, I know he was before Jesus, but the kids love it!) Mady and I almost shot him right between the eyes, just like the bible story. Mady's favorite part is a toss up between the free cookies and the fake grape squishing. She loves taking off her shoes and squishing the fake, plastic grapes with her feet! They also made some neat crafts: rope, perfume, mosaics and some kind of prayer keeper. Before we left, we stopped to pet some of the animals and Trip got to hold a chicken! Hysterical! We had a great time, but we missed Daddy. Now, we are all resting, getting ready for the busy weekend ahead...and next week, we leave for a BIG SURPRISE!
