My precious Mady

My precious Mady, this first year with you has flown by. We knew before you were born that you were going to be such a special girl, full of spunk and sure of yourself. You are such a sweet and happy child. It is a joy to be your mother. Your first few weeks were not easy; you were so upset and cried so much. And, then, once we discovered how uncomfortable you were and how much your little tummy hurt, we were able to help you and your true personality came out. You have not stopped smiling since! You brighten up my day each morning when I see your sweet smile. Your beautiful, big blue eyes are wide open, ready to see what the world has to offer. It has been such a joy watching you learn and grow. You are so independent, completely content to play and discover this amazing world on your own. You know what you want and you are determined to get it. I love your drive and determination. You are so tough too. It takes a lot to make you cry, but when you do you make sure we know how upset you are. You think you are one of the big kids already, stealing sippy cups, playing with the big toys and climbing up the stairs. You love to dance and sing (scream). You are always on the move, no time to slow down. Sometimes I wish you were more of a cuddle baby, but I love that you are so busy that you just don’t want to miss a thing. I do cherish the moments where you rest your sweet head on my shoulder or climb up into my lap and let me kiss and hold you. You are such a blessing to our family, you make us complete. It’s hard to even imagine what our lives were like without you in them. I thank God for blessing us with such a perfect, little girl. You are an answer to prayer. I wish I could stop time and keep you just like you are, so innocent and full of life, but I also look forward to watching you grow into a wonderful young lady. I pray you will always know you are loved.
