This past weekend was a busy one. TJ was out of town in Wisconsin, so it was me and the kiddos alone. Thankfully, Kaki and Grandad came to the rescue and took Trip Saturday. Mady and I went on to a friend's first birthday party. Everyone kept commenting on her awesome curly fro! This is the first time I put her in a dress for something other than church. It was not easy to crawl in, but she sure did look cute. Mady was a trooper, with no nap in the morning, she made it until almost 2 pm before she started getting fussy. She slept the whole way home and then did a little shopping with mommy. It was nice to have a little girls weekend. Trip had all kinds of fun with Kaki and Grandad. He went to the Tell Us Museum near their house and saw dinosaurs, panned for gold, and I think his favorite thing was the Saber tooth Tiger. He was hunting for it later that night at Kaki and Grandad's house. He had a wonderful time and was completely worn out when they brought him home on Sunday, although not enough for a nap. Oh well! The strangest thing happened while we were all out on Saturday. It apparently rained so hard that one of the trees in our front yard blew over, a circuit blew and our furniture in the back of the house got blown over. Here's a picture of Trip trying to repair the damaged tree. What a strong boy!
Tonight, Mady learned to blow kisses. After I laid her in her crib tonight, she stood up and said "bye bye," waved and blew me a kiss. Does it get any more precious than that?
