Go Braves!...Or not

We took Trip to his first Braves game of the season this weekend. We met some friends for a pre-game tailgate. Trip had very nutritious snacks like cookies and birthday cake. (See picture) Unfortunately, a thunderstorm rolled through halfway into the second inning. We were all bummed because TJ and I love baseball and Trip was just so cute, really getting into the game. He clapped and did all the games, like yelling "Charge!" He clapped for both teams, which was just too cute. And, he danced to all the booty music that everyone uses when they come up to bat. You know that brought a smile to my booty music loving face! The great thing was that when the rain started we found the kids area, and Trip just played games for an hour. He could've cared less that the real game was postponed. We had to leave before they started back up again because it was getting close to bed time and we just didn't see the end in sight. Fortunately, Kaki and Grandad were waiting at home for us with Mady, so that made it easier to leave. When we got home, the game was back on again and Trip said, "Let's get in the car and go back." We wish! Maybe we can do it again sometime.

We finally caught up with the ghetto ice cream truck this weekend! Trip was so excited. He got a huge fudgesicle. Yummy! Mommy, of course, had to get something too. I think Trip was expecting a big cup full of ice cream like you get at the store, but he was happy with his choice.

Mady's two upper teeth are really coming in. You can see them every time she opens her mouth. She looks so different. I wish she would stop growing up!

TJ and I have come up with a new reward system and house rules for Trip, so I'll report back on how the implementation of that goes! Cross your fingers!
