VBS

I have not looked forward to a Friday this much since I worked full time. VBS has been a fun, crazy week for Trip and I (and Mady today). I had no idea how much it would wear me (and Trip) out. He's taken a nap every day this week, except Tuesday. I can't remember the last time that happened. Trip had fun with his little group, especially Abby, one of his middle-school leaders. This is a picture of the two of them. Every time I saw him (except at snack) she was carrying him around and he was sucking his thumb. I haven't seen him suck his thumb that much in a long time. Poor Abby, her back is probably so sore. Even though Trip has sung all the songs and showed us the dances at home, he refused to participate at VBS all week. He told me he was afraid everyone would laugh at him. How does a 3 year old have that kind of fear? But, he did learn a lot about God this week and how to "Fear Not!" That was the big saying all week. I'm so glad he is getting big enough to be a part of things like this. I just wish I didn't have to be a part of them too. :-) Someone remind me next year when I am considering agreeing to help out again that I DO NOT WANT TO!
Mady only had to spend one day in the nursery, thanks to Kaki's visit all week. They said she was so easy today. She really is such a joy right now! Here's a cute pic of her playing in the nursery. Don't you just want to eat those thighs?
