Today is day 3 of Trip's week long baseball camp. So far, he is loving it. He's doing really well listening and participating. It's been interesting for me though, because so many of the moms are already annoying and it's only a camp, it's not even real little league. I'm scared for those days. Trip has 2 great coaches. They really make it fun for the kids, but teach them some skills too. Everday Trip says his favorite part is running the bases. He knows what order they go in and where he is supposed to go next, which is more than I can say for most of the other kids. I think his least favorite part is when they split into two teams and his is the one on the field. He is a little like his mom was back in her softball days and he likes to just move around and kick the dirt, rather than pay attention. This picture is from after he hit the ball and he was waiting for his teammate to hit, so he decided to take a look and see what was under the base. Hmmmm.....is that the engineer in him?
Mady has started making this hysterical new face. She made it at dinner a few nights ago and got such a big laugh from TJ and I that she does it all the time now. Her favorite time to do it is, of course, at the table, with a mouth full of food. That is not quite as funny to me. I was so impressed we were able to capture it on film yesterday. She is such a ham and loves making people laugh. Today she took two little steps from her rocking chair to me! I could not believe it. They were kind of accidental, but still, she actually let go and kept moving. Wont' be long now!
