Mid-week update

Yesterday, I used my new Imagine It Museum membership (thanks to all who chipped in for this gift) and took the kids to the museum all by myself. We've been there before, but never just me alone with them. And, this was Mady's first time to really walk around and enjoy it. She and Trip had a blast! I think they spent most of their time playing with the big balls at the front of the museum. I was finally able to pull them away and go onto some other things. They have actors that put on little shows during the day and they just happened to do one while we were there. It's so funny to see how my children react differently to these kind of situations. Sweet, shy Trip wasn't even sure he wanted to watch it, but when he decided he did, he stayed close to me, in the back and watched from afar. Mady, on the other hand walked right up to the performers like she was supposed to be in the show! Such a star! The pictures are of them playing with moon sand and playing in the Market area. Now that we have a membership, I'm going to try and take them at least once a month!

Today, Mady had her 15 month check up. For the most part, she is doing great! She is growing well, in the 80% for height and 57%for weight. She is walking well and talking well and looking good. We did have a little bad news though. Nothing too big. The doctor noticed that Mady has a little frenulum in her mouth. That means that part of her lip is attached to her gums above her top teeth. So, we are going to have to see an oral surgeon and she will probably have to have a little surgery to nip it. Poor baby! I guess the good thing, is the doctor found it and now we can move forward and do what's necessary to make it better. She had to get 2 shots and it was so sad. When she first got pricked, she looked at me and said "Ouch!" And, then looked at me like why aren't you stopping this pain and she started screaming. It made me so sad, but once I could pick her up, she stopped crying and then she got a popsicle which always makes it better. I don't know what we would do without those popsicles.
