Wedding Week

I don't even know where to begin. We had a wonderful trip to Wisconsin. 10 days flew by. The wedding was beautiful. Trip and Mady enjoyed all the wedding festivities...especially the chicken fingers for dinner at the reception. Neither were into the dancing too much, but I had a great time dancing. :-) Trip made it through the entire ceremony sitting with Daddy in the sanctuary. Mady and I, on the other hand, spent our time in the cry room with all the other little ones. She was much happier there being able to talk as loud as she wanted and cruise around the pews. As you can see Mady had a wardrobe change between the wedding and reception...too many cute dresses to choose from, so she wore two. The day after the wedding, Tom and Patty hosted a yummy brunch! Trip got in the pool with the big boys. He loves TJ's cousin, Joe and this time he made friends with TJ's other cousins, Matthew and Michael. Trip also had fun playing with Ava and Molly. Ava came over twice to play with Trip and they were so cute to watch together. They got along really well. Mady slept like a champ the entire trip. She would go to bed around 8 or 8:30 pm and then sleep until around 10 every morning. And, she would still take 2 huge naps each day too! Trip still refused to sleep without the light on and he also convinced Pitty and Grumpa that he needed to sleep with one book in his bed and his door open. Such softies! Trip and Mady both traveled so well. Our flight times were not child-friendly, but they were great! I was so proud of them both. Sugar is the trick! Those biscoff cookies on Delta flights are the best.

My favorite part of the trip was getting away with TJ to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We left the kids and went to Chicago for 2 nights. This is the first time we've left Mady, so that was a little sad, but she and Trip had fun with Pitty and Grumpa. We had a wonderful time. We stayed with Dan and Jenny one night and then in a hotel the other. We visited the Field Museum, went to Second City Comedy Club and ate lots of delicious food! Unfortunately, the weather was not so nice...we were freezing in July! What! You would think I would've learned by now to take jackets and jeans no matter what time of year we are visiting Wisconsin.
Thank you to all of our wonderful friends and family in Wisconsin! Hope too see you again soon!
