Today was Trip's first day of real school...or 3 year old Preschool. I went a little crazy taking pictures, but I didn't take any at all when he first went to Mother's Morning Out, so I was overcompensating for that. He loved it. We took the golf cart and dropped him off in the carpool line. He was so excited to see his teacher and show her his bucket that he'd decorated that he didn't even say goodbye. I debated between getting my goodbye and letting him go on, since he was obviously fine leaving me. But, I needed at least a wave, so I got one. And, then he was off and Mady and I were all alone. I felt a little sad, but told myself to get over it, it's only preschool. The bucket you see in the picture, is what they require the 3 year olds to bring instead of a back pack. TJ and Trip decorated it the night before, so it looked great! At home, Mady and I got lots of things done. She went grocery shopping at home and helped me do some dusting. She is quite the homemaker. Then, we went back to get Trip after just 2 short hours; he'll start going 3 hours next week. He was so cute when he saw us drive up in the carpool line to pick him up. He told me some about his day, but most of it, he said he would tell me about later. Such a boy! Overall though, it sounded like he had a good day and he is excited to go back. I took the kids to the library, which is right next to school. Trip has been asking to go get some more books ever since we took a few back last week, so I figured that would be a nice treat for a good first day of school. I can't believe he is already in preschool. I know kindergarten will be here before we know it and then next thing we know he'll be off to college. Scary!
