Mady got her first, big boo boo. She has plenty of little ones, especially since she started moving around more. But, Tuesday, she got a big one that will not go away for a while and is very easy to see. The above is a picture of her showing off her shiner. Even though it looks like she was punched in the face, that is not what happened. Our little monkey decided it would be fun to sit on Trip's old bouncy seat backwards and rock it. Then, she decided to see what would happen if she kept climbing up it...well, it tipped over, Shocking! So, she tipped over with it, hitting Trip's tool bench on the way down and getting this nice carpet burn on her face. I'm just hoping it doesn't leave much of a scar on her sweet face. She is such a climber and investigator. I just hope TJ is home the first time I have to take her to get stitches.
On Wednesday, we met friends at a place called Jumping Jelly Beans. It has all kinds of inflatables to jump around on. In the past, Trip has been a little timid at these kind of places, but not this time. He loved it! He went on everything, even the huge slide. He must of gone down that thing at least 10 times. I went down once with Mady and that was enough for me. Mady, of course, loved it too. She got right up on everything with the big kids. In fact, I think she really loved it best when a big kid would bounce next to her and knock her over. She would laugh hysterically. Now that she can walk and she is so independent, it was quite a chore keeping up with both of them, but we had a lot of fun. I think we'll go back again soon.
TJ has been a huge help this week, since I've been gone two evenings this week during bed time. He and the kiddos have really enjoyed their special time together and I've really enjoyed my time off. Thanks, TJ! Now, it's all mommy this weekend as TJ is off for his annual baseball trip. So, I'm planning to make a visit to my parents for a little extra help. Kaki and Grandad here we come!
