The family is back together again. TJ went on his annual baseball trip this weekend, so the kids and I went to Kaki and Grandad's for the weekend. The ride up was great because both kids fell asleep in the car. That never happens. I didn't know what to do with the silence...except enjoy it! Kaki's been going through my old boxes of toys, so there were lots of "new" toys for the kids to play with including old Cabbage Patch Kids, my barbie house and corvette and lots of books from her school boxes. Trip's new favorite thing to do there is get in the hot tub and play in the bubbles. He even puts his head under water. I think he would've stayed in there all night if he hadn't finally gotten tired. On Saturday, Grandad and I took the kids to a local playground while Kaki met a friend for lunch. It was so hot, so we didn't last too long. My favorite part of the weekend was sitting out on the porch at night, after the kids had gone to bed and sharing some wine with my parents. TJ had a great time on his trip too, but its nice to all be back together again.
