Soccer Camp

Well, Trip got his wish, I signed him up for soccer camp this week. After he finished baseball camp a few weeks ago, he told me that next he wanted to do soccer camp, so I figured why not. On the first day, I was a little worried I'd thrown away lots of money on a camp he was not going to like. It took him a little longer to warm up to this one than it did to baseball camp. For some reason, on the first day they had the little 3 and 4 year olds warming up with the big 7 &8 year olds, so I think Trip was very overwhelmed. Once they split into separate groups, he was much better, especially since there were only 3 other kids in his age group. His coach was from Ireland and he had a great accent. Trip's favorite game was a pirate game where the coach was on a pirate ship and the kids were kicking their "cannon" soccer balls onto his ship. Trip laughed every time they played.

Mady enjoyed being outside and walking around in the wet, muddy grass. She is getting really good at walking. In fact, the other day she took her baby for a walk in the stroller through our house. It was so cute. It is so fun to have both a boy and a girl and play different games with them.

This weekend Trip is with my parents, so Mady is an only child for the weekend. Kaki and Grandad have planned a weekend packed full of fun for Trip. And, while TJ and I have planned a weekend full of "to do" list activities, we really want to enjoy our time alone with Mady too. She never gets this much alone time with us both. Tonight, we both helped bathe and put her too bed. It was so nice and calm. But, we miss Trip!
