Little Fishies

Tonight, after dinner, we took the kiddos to the pool. They were both like little fishies. Mady was so funny in the baby pool. She kept trying to walk around, but she just kept falling down, usually face first. She did not seem to mind at all. She laughed every time she fell down and we picked her back up out of the water. TJ and I think started to think that she was doing it on purpose. I think she swallowed half of the water in the baby pool. We're glad to have a child that is not afraid to go under water, but it's also a little scary because we have to really watch her and make sure she doesn't go under without us near by to pull her back out again. And, then, Trip finally started jumping in the pool and going under all by himself. This happens every summer. It takes him about half the summer to warm up to the idea of going under, and then, once he does, there is no stopping him. I don't know why I forget this every summer; you'd think I would remember by now.

They were both so tired when we got home. Trip had multiple meltdowns, but they both passed right out once they were in bed. It's been a nice quiet evening.
