On the move

Our little Mady is really on the move as of tonight. She walked from one room to the other, making two little turns, all by herself. The best part is that she doesn't just walk, she has this huge smile on her face and sort of screams, like "Look at me! Can you believe it! I am walking! This is so cool!" My friend Jamie came over today with her son Kai, who is about a month older than Mady, but way ahead of her on the gross motor skills. He's been walking since he was 9 months old. Last time we were with him, Mady watched him pull up and the next day, she was pulling up on everything. Then, today, she watched him walk around, and tonight, she was walking much better than she has ever! Kai is a good influence.

Here is the Trip quote of the day: He happened to look out the window this morning and spot 3 deer in our backyard. There was a mommy deer and two baby deer. It was so cool! The babies were so cute, jumping around from yard to yard. The only other time Trip has seen deer has been at his grandparents' houses, both my parents and TJ's parents. So, Trip asked me where they came from and I told him I didn't know. Then he said, "I think maybe they came from Kaki and Grandad's house. They probably came just to visit me and say hello Trip." What a wonderful thought!
